Minutes of September 20, 2016

SULLIVAN CONSERVATION COMMISSION
Sullivan Town Hall
Sept. 20, 2016

Present:  Jim McByrne, Roger Sweet, Eric White and Becky Cummings.

The minutes of the August meeting were accepted as read.

The annual meeting of the NH Association of Conservation Commissions will be held on Nov. 12th in Pembroke.  NH Method will host two workshops; one on Sept. 23rd in Concord (wetlands mapping) and the other on Oct. 7th at Bear Brook State Park on wetlands evaluation.

Roger said the Planning Board visited the proposed driveway cut on the John Bolles property.  Randy Smith, road agent, suggested moving the cut up the hill about 100’ to avoid water and ice problems on the hill.  So far no action has been taken by either Bolles or the Planning Board.

Roger attended the site plan review of the cell tower with the Planning Board.  Another hearing will be held.

Eric received a note from Kate Fuller, Town Administrative Assistant, asking about town line perambulations.  He said it was up to the selectmen to notify the various towns and has not heard back from her as to whether it has been done or not.  As of last spring Gilsum planned to get back to Eric soon (so far no word); Keene had a new employee who would work on it (no word yet) and there was no reply from Stoddard.  Eric will send another note to Kate.

Another trail work day has been set for Oct. 8th.  Planned work will be on the trail from Winch Hill to Church St. and if there are enough people/time, work will also be done on Mary Parker’s property from Cross Rd. up Winch Hill.

Meeting adjourned at 7:57 pm.

Respectfully Submitted,
Becky Cummings,
Clerk
