ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

MEETING MINUTES OF MAY 24TH. 2012

THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING WAS TO CONSIDER A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO THE COMMUNITY PLANNING ORDINANCE REQUIRING SPECIFIC SETBACKS FROM THE ROAD AND FROM THE STREAM RUNNING THROUGH THE PROPERTY.

Attendance:  Steve Hamilton, Ron Hull, Laura Lewandowski, Roger Sweet, Jetoby Fletcher and Mary Hull, secretary

The meeting came to order at 7:00 PM.

Roger Sweet made a motion to elect Steve Hamilton as Chairperson, pro-temp.
Approved unanimously.

No members of the public showed up at this meeting.

Discussion started with Mr. Fletcher stating that he is planning on building an 8 x 22 foot screened-in porch that will face Sullivan Centre Street.

Mr. Sweet asked about the indents on the width of the addition that will accommodate the electrical meters and stove exhaust on each side of the house.

Mr. Fletcher stated that the State of NH wrote him a letter stating they are fine with the addition.

Mr. Sweet stated that the house was built before ordinances were set with the town, so the house was grandfathered.  Also the stream next to the road is only approximately 17 to 19 feet away from the addition.

The meeting deliberated at approximately 7:20 pm to discuss the application and came to the following decision.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment feels the application is complete and approves the  special exception with the following conditions:

1.    The deck must be completed within one year, or they must reapply.
2.    They must report the addition on the Annual Inventory  that is due every April 15th.

Meeting adjourns at 7:26 PM

Respectively submitted by:
