Minutes of July 7, 2010

Chairman Bob Switzer called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.  Present, in addition to the chairman, were members  Michelle Degree,  Laura Lewandowski,  John Little, Ann Sweet, and  Selectmen‘s representative Cheryl Labadie.  Absent was Dave Jakway. Also present were Carlene and Karl Wheeler and Mark Smith.

The minutes of the meeting of June 2 were approved as distributed.

Preliminary consultation on a proposed subdivision of the Jarvis property on Gilsum Road
Mrs. Carlene Wheeler, representing Mr. Richard Jarvis, presented a plat and a soils map showing the existing property and the proposed subdivision to create a new two-acre lot.  After reviewing the items on the subdivision check list, the chairman declared all in order except for the approval by the state of the septic design, which is in process.  It was decided, since the new lot is not to be a house lot in the immediate future, a driveway permit would not be needed.

Mrs. Wheeler presented a list of abutters for notification.  A check for $115 will be left at the town hall to cover the charges ($10 per abutter and $35 for newspaper notice).

Mrs. Wheeler also asked for a lot-line adjustment (delineated on the plat) to expand the Wheeler property to the stone wall now inside the Jarvis property.

Mr. Jarvis will be present at the hearing on August 4.

Completion of Smith subdivision heard at the March 3 meeting
The board reviewed the outstanding issues listed in the minutes of the March meeting.  All had been satisfied on a new plat.  A motion (Little/Lewandowski) to approve the Smith subdivision passed without dissent.

Since the pins had been set, the chairman and secretary repaired to the Smith home to view the pins designating the new property line and to receive the checks for filing the plat at the County Registry of Deeds.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:06 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Ann Sweet, Secretary
