Members’ comments

Selectman Labadie announced that a new administrative assistant, Jody McDermott, who will have help in the office from Linda Valenti, had begun work June 2.  She also noted that the town lawyer would be turning attention again to A&L violations.  She was asked about the tall building, which looks like a residential structure, almost completed on Route 9 on LandCruiser property.  She promised to have a look.

Ann Sweet reported that the contract for the energy project at the town highway garage had been received and must be signed with a variety of attachments and returned to TRC by the middle of July.  No work can begin on the project until the signed agreement, with all its attachments,  is approved by TRC.

Chairman Switzer suggested that the Master Plan committee meet before the July planning board meeting to begin consideration of an update to the 2005 edition of the Master Plan.  Perhaps a survey assessing the town’s current interests will be conducted.

Selectmen Labadie proposed that the planning board and the budget committee begin to meet regularly to think through what the future needs of the town might be.  Chairman Switzer said that idea complements the board’s current thinking about developing a Capital Improvement Plan.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:49 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Ann Sweet, Secretary
