Planning Board Minutes of October 1, 2014

                                    SULLIVAN PLANNING BOARD
Minutes of the Meeting of October 1, 2014

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Steve Hamilton.  In addition to the chairman, members Dave Jakway, Laura Lewandowski, and Ann Sweet were present.  Members Stacy Glover and Mark Smith were absent.  There was no selectmen’s representative.   Leslie Casey, prospective member, attended the meeting.

A motion (Lewandowski/Hamilton) to approve the minutes of the meeting of September 3, 2014, passed without dissent.

Chairman Hamilton welcomed Mrs. Casey and said once her appointment was confirmed by the selectmen, she should be sworn in by the town clerk.  Mrs. Sweet will ask for the letter of appointment.

Driveway aprons
Chairman Hamilton reported that 4 of the needed driveway aprons have been paved.  One owner has not been reached.  The Gottsche escrow was returned.

NH Planning and Land Use Regulations
Chairman Hamilton will order a copy of the current publication for each member.

Review of parts of the draft of the Master Plan 2015
Minor revisions were made to the chapter on Goals and Objectives and the chapter on Conclusions and Recommendations.  A first reading was made of part of the newly completed chapter, Community Services and Public Buildings, which depended on write-ups by pertinent agents rather than planning board members.  The section on the schools came only this morning, so a reading of that and the subsequent pages (4 to the end) of that chapter was postponed until the November meeting.

Member announcements
Mrs. Sweet reminded members of the October 18 hike on Otter Brook Preserve.

There being no further business, a motion (Jakway/Lewandowski) to adjourn the meeting at 8:22 p.m. passed without dissent.

Respectfully submitted,

Ann Sweet, Secretary
