  1. CALL
    TO ORDER: Chairman Laura Merrifield called the meeting to order at

    6:30 pm. Laura Merrifield
    made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 10, 2017 meeting,
    seconded by Joe Lewandowski. The minutes were unanimously approved
    as amended.

  1. PUBLIC
    COMMENT-None

  1. SELECTMEN’S
    BUSINESS:

  1. Planning
    Board Chairman-Leslie Casey-Updates to the Community Planning
    ordinance and Building Permit Application
    -The
    amended version of the CPO was presented; Joe Lewandowski asked for
    another week to review the changes. The fee structure for permits
    was also discussed and Mrs. Casey reported that the Planning Board
    would support changes in the fee structure. Mrs. Merrifield said
    that was something the Board was also planning on reviewing. The
    Building Permit form and Building Permit Checklist form were
    reviewed and updates proposed. Mrs. Casey brought a draft of a
    newsletter article to explain the CPO changes, Mrs. Merrifield will
    review. A yearly meeting including the Planning and Zoning Boards
    was also discussed. This would allow for discussion around trending
    issues like Tiny houses and seasonal worker housing.

  1. Appointments
    for the Planning Board
    -Milton
    Trimitsis was appointed as a regular member of the Planning Board
    and Mark Smith was appointed as an alternate. The appointments were
    signed by the Board.

  1. Payroll,
    Vendor Payments and Purchase Orders
    -Approved
    as submitted.

  1. Miscellaneous/General
    Discussion
    - Legislative
    Bulletin from the NHMA received. SWRPC Highlights received. Cheshire
    County Sheriff’s call log received. Notice to Tax Collectors from
    Bureau of Land and Tax Appeals asking for tax issue dates received.
    Planning Board minutes for March received. Summer/Holiday Schedule
    for BOS meetings reviewed. Court update on bankruptcy proceedings
    for 101 Gilsum Road received. Request for clarification on burial
    expense assistance from the Overseer of the Poor; discussed and
    clarified by Board. Four articles for the newsletter were discussed
    including the one from the Planning Board about the CPO. Laura
    Merrifield will review and distribute for approval before the
    newsletter deadline. The All Veterans Tax Credit deadline was
    extended to June 1, 2017.
