Non-Approved Meeting Minutes Draft


April 9, 2012 – 7:30 PM


Sullivan Town Hall


 


Board members present: Mark Paquette, Gary Patnode


Department heads present: Randy Smith


Also present: Karen Luebkeman, Administrative Assistant


A. CALL TO ORDER: Mark Paquette called the meeting to order at 7:31PM


B. CITIZEN’S DISCUSSION:




Chris Pratt attended as School Committee member to discuss the first meeting in the withdrawal process being held April 17th at 7:00PM at the library at MRSD. The purpose was to ensure that a Selectmen would be in attendance as required.


Chris Pratt, as Library Trustee currently working to obtain painting/carpentry estimate for the Library provided estimates from two contractors for the painting of the exterior of the library addition. Mr. Pratt is waiting on carpentry estimates for work related to replacing/repairing clapboards on the main portion of the library, which will also include sill work. In order to proceed with scraping and painting of the library there is siding repair and/or replacement that is needed.


The Recreation Committee reported on the success of the Easter Celebration held at the Town Hall and shared with the Selectmen the upcoming Bakery Bingo scheduled for April 28th. A request was made to disburse funds and to obtain a raffle permit.


C. Department Heads:


Randy Smith informed the Selectmen that the weight restriction for town roads


has been lifted. He has also accepted a bid from Whitcomb Construction for the


paving of South Road, slated for the summer.


 




MOTION: Gary Patnode made a motion to accept the painting estimate from Stebbins Spectacular Painting in the amount of $2,950. 


SECOND: Mark Paquette second the motion.
