B. CITIZEN’S DISCUSSION:

Stephanie Jacques-Kline, a member of the interim Sullivan School Board attended the Selectmen’s meeting along with Toni Ellsworth who is the interim Sullivan School Board Treasurer to share with the Selectmen what is currently being undertaken by the Board.

The interim board is looking to hire GSTP (Granite State Transitional Principals) to handled Sullivan’s transition to an independent school administrative unit. Services provided would center around superintendent and business manager services.

GSTP will help us determine how much money is needed to run our school board from now until June 30th, as well as arrive at the dollar amount for the 2013-2014 school budget. Going forward, GSTP is hoping to provide Superintendent and Business manager services for the 2013-2014 school year. The individual working on our behalf would be Dr. Kenneth Dassau.

Stephanie advised the Selectmen that the Sullivan school building was going to be viewed/toured on Thursday, January 24th by members of the MRSD and the realtor most likely to be handling the sale of the building.

The Selectmen asked questions regarding the current maintenance of the school building in particular whether or not they knew if the school had been winterized prior to being closed. The understanding was winterization concerns had been addressed by MRSD.
