Sullivan Town Hall

Board members present: Mark Paquette, Gary Patnode

Department heads present: Mike Blanchard

Also present: Wendi Favreau, Ronald Richards, Joyce Paquette, Karen Luebkeman

A. CALL TO ORDER: Mark Paquette called the meeting to order at 7:30PM

Wendi Favreau and Ronald Richards attended the Selectmen’s Meeting to determine if remodeling required a building permit. They are in the process of buying the residence at 122 Hubbard Road. They requested that the Selectmen’s Office contact their mortgage company to confirm that a building permit was not necessary.

Joyce Paquette attended the Selectmen’s Meeting to bring a noise complaint against a neighboring property. The property owner actively shoots during the evening hours and this is a follow up complaint to one in 2011. Currently there is no noise ordinance in the Town of Sullivan. The Selectmen are reaching out to the town attorney to determine what responsibility the Town has in this .

C. Department Heads: Mike Blanchard

Mike Blanchard came with paperwork to appoint Eric Kazlouskes a Deputy Fire Warden.

This will provide an additional individual who can issue burn permits.

D. Selectmen’s Business:

The Selectmen took the opportunity to discuss with Mike Blanchard the Fire Department’s 2012 Budget. The Town of Sullivan is looking at having to cover a considerable amount of the repairs to roads/bridges as a result of the May 29th storm.

FEMA will reimburse 75% of the cost of these repairs. At this time we do not know what the Town’s share for repairs will be therefore we are asking all Departments to be thoughtful regarding their budgets. Any purchases/expenses that can be minimized this

year will help when covering the costs of these road repairs.

General business including the approving of payroll and vendor payments, review of invoices and PO’s were addressed.

Meeting Minutes for July 2nd, 2012 were approved.

Meeting was adjourned at 9:35PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

Karen B. Luebkeman,

Administrative Assistant, Town of Sullivan
