Approved Meeting Minutes Draft

June 25, 2012 – 7:30 PM

Board members present: Mark Paquette, Gary Patnode

Department heads present: None

Also present: Chris Pratt, Jen Labadie, JJ Prior, Paul Buldoc, Karen Luebkeman, Administrative Assistant,

A. CALL TO ORDER: Mark Paquette called the meeting to order at 7:30PM


School Committee members Chris Pratt, Jen Labadie, JJ Prior and Paul Buldoc

attended the Selectmen’s meeting to discuss the June 21st, 2012 meeting with the MRSD Withdrawal Committee.

At this meeting the School Committee provided documentation from the individual

schools who have expressed interest in having our students,, First Student who would be responsible for transportation, as well as other SAU business offices who would be interested in handling our administrative needs.

Items that were discussed at the June 21 meeting also included whether or not Sullivan must withdraw from the SAU at the same time it withdraws from the cooperative school district. At this moment there are two differing opinions on the correct procedure, however Sullivan’s legal representative does not agree that Sullivan must withdraw from the SAU at the same time it withdraws from the cooperative.

Other areas of discussion surrounded the question of the current school building and Sullivan’s intentions regarding its purchase. At this time no definitive price has been determined for the building although the costs for the addition and upgrades that occurred in the early 1970’s would be the driving factor in deciding the value/purchase price.

The next MRSD School Withdrawal Meeting is scheduled for July 25th at 7:30.

D. Selectmen’s Business:

General business including the approving of payroll and vendor payments, review of

invoices and PO’s were addressed.
