The Elementary Schools test scores are turning around also. The budget committee had a challange to lower the budget by 10% for the 2010-2011 School Year. Then there was a discussion about the Sullivan Elementary School. There is obvious space issues. But if in deed it closed and all the kids went to Gilsum School then there is going to be space issues there too. Cheryl voiced her concerns for the families in the town of Sullivan that have to have their children bused over to Gilsum. There needs to be a select person on the School Board so that everyone can work together. It will take some time to straighten this all out. The School Board is starting to do studies of all the schools. Cheryl hopes that the study turns out to be good for all. The communication between the Select Board and the School Board need to stay open. What to do with Sullivan School if it does close?
