Meeting Minutes, February 12, 2018

Board members present: Chairman Laura Merrifield and Joe Lewandowski

CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Laura Merrifield called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Laura Merrifield made a motion to approve the minutes of the February 5, 2018 meeting, seconded by Joe Lewandowski. The minutes were unanimously approved as amended. 

PUBLIC COMMENT-None. 
 
SELECTMEN’S BUSINESS:

Timber Warrant-#17-433-07-T - for signature-Reviewed and signed by the Board.  

2018 Warrant for signature - Signed by the Board

Audit Questionnaire for review - The Board reviewed the questionnaire line by line and it is ready to  send to the auditor. 

Selectmen’s Report for review - The report was reviewed. It was decided that the report will be sent to Jeff Burbank for his thoughts before the final draft is put in the Town Report. 

Summer Schedule-Discussion - The summer schedule for Selectmen’s meetings was discussed and it was decided that since there are three holidays that rescheduling would be evaluated closer to the time and depending on how much business needed to come before a meeting. 

Payroll, Vendor Payments and Purchase Orders - Purchase orders and manifest approved as submitted.

Miscellaneous/General Discussion - NHMA Legislative Bulletin, received. Report of clean-up progress at 267 Centre Street, Kate will call with a second reminder. SWRPC highlights, received. Communication from Gary Kinyon received about the camper on 419 South Road. Scott Alexander came to Town Hall and spoke with Laura Merrifield stating that no one lives in the camper on his property. Two letters were received from Mitchell Municipal Group; one stated that Jae Whitelaw would be retiring although she will complete the Fairpoint litigation. The other letter introduced her replacement, Keri Roman. E-mail from Becky Cummings with a newsletter deadline of February 20th, received. Laura Merrifield informed the Board that she is working on two articles, one on the budget and one on dog control. Copy of letter from Health Officer Laura Lewandowski regarding a garbage nuisance at 301 Gilsum Road, received. E-mail from Fire Chief Al Henry regarding attendance at the February 26th Board meeting, received. Flyer about Volunteer Liability webinar from Primex, received. 

Board of Selectmen-General Discussion - Joe Lewandowski brought a communication about Senate Bill 3 Training; the Board is not required to take this training but it is available to the election workers. Laura Merrifield answered a question previously posed by Jeff Burbank about Diluzio paramedic staffing. Currently, they have 8 full time and 10 part time paramedics on staff. Shortly, after a recent training, they will have 12 full time and 10 part time paramedics on staff.
