Minutes of February 23, 2009

Selectmen Present: Richard Hotchkiss, Cheryl Labadie

Others Present: Jim Forrest, Neil Henry (Fire Chief)

Meeting called to order 7:30 p.m.

Payroll and bills were approved.

The Selectmen reviewed and approved a purchase order for crushed stone from Henniker Sand & Gravel.

The February 16 meeting minutes were approved as written.

J. Forrest, of 267 Centre Street, submitted an application for abatement.  The application will be forwarded to Avitar Associates (contracted assessors) for review.

N. Henry stated that a defibrillator had been donated to the fire department from David Homer; a thank you letter will be written for the Selectmen to sign.

An application for current use for Dennis and Sandra O’Brien (M/L 5-046-001) was reviewed and approved by the Selectmen.  The application enters 25.82 acres in current use classification.

The Select reviewed and approved participation of the town in a Litter Free New Hampshire program.  The town will receive daffodil bulbs in return for its participation.

R. Hotchkiss presented a draft of the Selectmen’s letter to be included in the annual report.  C. Labadie and R. Hotchkiss approved the letter for submission.

It was noted that the town warrant and MS-7 (town budget form) had been posted at the town hall, library, and post office.

Work continues on the annual report; copies will be made available March 3.
