Approved Meeting Minutes, January 7, 2019

Board members present: Laura Merrifield, Jeff Burbank and Marsha Cook 

Department Heads/Officers: None

Staff: Jamie Cox, Administrative Assistant

Public: None

CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Laura Merrifield called the meeting to order at 6:30pm. Marsha Cook made a motion to approve the minutes of the January 2, 2019 meeting, seconded by Laura Merrifield. The minutes were unanimously approved. 



Payroll, vendor payments, and purchase orders – Manifest and Purchase Orders approved as submitted. 

Miscellaneous/General Discussion 
Executive Council Meeting Report from Executive Councilman Volinsky received
Laura Merrifield distributed preliminary year to date expense spreadsheet
Laura Merrifield reported the budget committee will be introducing a warrant article for the acquisition of breathing apparatus cylinders. The Selectmen agreed this is the best approach. The budget committee is requesting the board define Major Equipment in the Operating Budget.
Jeff Burbank will be unavailable January 14, 2019
The board discussed updating the old business list. Laura to conduct research and report back.
Marsha and Laura will be scheduling an inspection of 267 Centre Street.
Brief discussion regarding a potential request from the trustees to keep them apprised of capital purchases as early in the process as possible.
Communication from Primex regarding a reduction in the 2019 costs of Unemployment Compensation and Worker Compensation Ins. This will be discussed further at the Public Hearing.
Discussion ensued relating to Joint Loss Management, Marsha Cook to research and report back
The draft warrant articles were distributed to the board members

MOTION: Laura Merrifield moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:49pm.

Unanimously approved.
