Minutes of May 11, 2009

Selectmen Present: Cheryl Labadie, and Bob Thayer.

City Officials Present: Neil "Al" Henry (Fire Chief)

Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m.

Neil Henry stated that the fire department has the opportunity to upgrade its' air packs and recieve a substancial savings. The Selectmen approved the purchase order for the upgrade.

Payroll and Bills were approved.

The Selectmen signed a timber tax warrant directing the tax collector to collect the taxes due. This is the first of two installments; a second warrant will be issued once the remaining Report of Cut forms are received. Letters will be mailed to those property owners and loggers who have not filed their report by May 15.

Notice of Intent to cut for Mark Smith, 84 Boynton Rd. (M/L 3-016-000), the taxes are current. Selectmen signed the intent to cut.

Septic Design pre-approved for Christa Patterson, 131 Price Road (m/L 5-004-000) This is a replacedmnt
system, Selectmen signed.

Letter to appoint Laura Lewandowski to the planning board; after attending the recent meeting of the planning board, Mrs. Lewandoski expressed an interest in joining the board. Selectmen signed.

Both towns of Stoddard and Roxbury have requested a perambulation of town lines. Roger and Ann Sweet have performed this duty in the past they are again willing to do it again, and will arrange dates and times. Roger intends to inquire of other Conservation Commission Members who may also wish to accompany them.
