Meeting Minutes, May 14, 2018

Board members present: Chairman Laura Merrifield and Jeff Burbank 

Department Heads/Officers: Planning Board Chairman Leslie Casey

Staff: Kate Fuller, Administrative Assistant

Public: None

CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Laura Merrifield called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Jeff Burbank made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 7, 2018 meeting, seconded by Laura Merrifield. The minutes were unanimously approved as amended. 

PUBLIC COMMENT-None. 
 
SELECTMEN’S BUSINESS:

Planning Board Chairman Leslie Casey-Proposed changes and clarifications to the Community Planning Ordinance- Chairman Casey reviewed several area of proposed improvement and clarification to the CPO. The Board offered their input and Chairman Casey will take the feedback to the Planning Board to work on a second draft. There will be an opportunity for public feedback if these changes are on the 2019 Warrant because hearings will need to be held. 

1st issue Tax Warrant for signature-Signed by the Board

Payroll, Vendor Payments and Purchase Orders-Purchase orders and manifest approved as submitted.

Miscellaneous/General Discussion
Two New Hampshire Municipal Association Bulletins, received. 
SWRPC Highlights, received.
Newsletter from Hundred Nights Shelter, received. 
Forward of e-mail from Planning Board Chair about freight improvements on town roads, this will be forwarded to the Road Agent.
Check for battery reimbursement, received. 
Cheshire County Sheriff Department Log-April, received. 
Invitation from Cheshire County for ground breaking at Maple Wood Nursing Home, Monday May 21, 2018; 201 River Road, Westmoreland, NH, received.
SWRPC invitation to Annual Meeting, June 12, 5pm at Keene State College, recieved 
Letter from NHDOT; driveway permit for Map 6 Lot 11 Sub 4 approved by the State, received.
Sam Greene Real Estate Appraisal Supervisor from the DRA stopped by and introduced himself, he is replacing Diane Frechette.
Board of Selectmen-General Discussion-
Laura Merrifield did the Residential Occupancy inspection at 143 Apple Hill Road. Everything was in order although there is still some finishing work to be completed. Kate will verify the driveway escrow has been refunded.
The Junkyard inspection for Land Cruiser parts was postponed; Kate will reschedule.
The cutoff date to accept inventories is April 15th but the Board will accept them through August 1st without penalty. 
Quotes for a wood splitter for the Highway Department were reviewed and a recommendation was made. Kate will follow up with the Trustees and Highway department.
