Minutes of November 29, 2010

Members present: Cheryl Labadie, Chairman, Robert Thayer and Mark Paquette, Selectmen.

Department Heads present: Randy Smith, Al Henry.

A. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM.

B. Citizen’s Business

1. Mark Smith presented the Board of Selectmen with an Intent to Cut form, the Board signed it. The cut will take place on Map 3/Lot 21, property of Robert Swazey located on Gilsum Road. The property contains 44 acres.

C. Approval if Minutes – September 13 and 20, 2010

Motion was made by Chairman Labadie to accept the minutes of September 13 and September 20, 2010 as written, seconded by Robert Thayer and the motion passed unanimously.

D. Appointments – None Scheduled.

E. Selectmen’s Business

1. Payroll and Vendor Manifests: Motion was made by Chairman Labadie to

approve the payroll and vendor manifests for November 29, 2010, seconded by

Selectman Paquette, and the motion passed unanimously.

F. Other Business – Department Heads

1. Al Henry, Fire Department: Al indicated that he intended to obtain sidewalk granite to install next to the Town Hall and Church buildings to locate the generators on. The generators will be kept under the eaves and protected by plywood .

2. Randy Smith, Highway Department: Randy informed the Board that all was going well in his Department. He is preparing for the Winter months; the plows are out and the sanders are working.

3. Al and Randy discussed the new regulation that will make obsolete digital radios, so this means that both Departments should budget for replacement radios as necessary.

4. Another item that Al plans to put in his budget is a device that will enable a person to look for hot spots in walls and victims in the dark, it will also assist in searches and rescue by the Police Department. The device works by showing the heat generated by a body or fire.

G. Non-Public Session – there was no discussion.

H. Adjournment

Motion was made by Chairman Labadie to adjourn the meeting at 8:10PM, seconded by Robert Thayer, and the motion passed unanimously.
