Board members present: Chairman Laura J. Merrifield, Joe Lewandowski and Jeff Burbank

CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Laura Merrifield called the meeting to order at 7:04 immediately following the Budget Meeting. Jeff Burbank made a motion to approve the minutes of the October 23, 2017 meeting, seconded by Joe Lewandowski. The minutes were unanimously approved as amended.

PUBLIC COMMENT-None

SELECTMEN’S BUSINESS:

Health Officer-Laura Lewandowski-Mrs. Lewandowski was unable to attend the meeting but will be contacting Mr. Burbank to visit the property on 419 South Road. A strong sewage odor was noted coming from that property. Mrs. Lewandowski contacted the DES and they were unable to provide assistance in this matter.

Budget Committee Composition-Laura Merrifield presented a memo regarding Budget Committee membership. A member of the Board of Selectmen and a member of the School Board should be included in the membership per RSA 32:1. Joe Lewandowski will represent the Selectmen and Kate will contact Ken Dassau to have the School Board choose a representative.

Site visit-267 Centre Street-The Board of Selectmen visited this site on October 24th. They reviewed the notes from the meeting that included a list of vehicles on the property. Mrs. Merrifield will write a letter detailing a time line with specific items to address the cleanup for this property.

62 Ellis Road-Communication from Attorney-The Board received a recommendation from the Town Attorney regarding extending the deadline for the cleanup on this property. The Board decided to follow Attorney Gary Kinyon’s advice to extend the deadline in an effort to resolve this issue.

 14 Rugg Road-Information and request from Road Agent-Randy Smith-Randy visited the site and due to the cars, camper and other belongings in the right of way, he will have difficulty plowing in that area. He asked for some clarification about vehicles in the right of way. Laura Merrifield will write a letter to the residents addressing the Town’s concerns.

Payroll, Vendor Payments and Purchase Orders-Purchase orders and manifest approved as submitted.
                                
Miscellaneous/General Discussion-Letter of Septic approval for 436 Valley Road, received. E-mail from Eversource about pole relocation, received. NHMA Conference invitation, received.

Board of Selectmen-General Discussion-Review of progress on Dog Control Ordinance, Laura Merrifield is willing to help when she returns on November 27th.
