Minutes of October 5, 2009

Selectmen Present: Cheryl Labadie, Mark Paquette, Bob Thayer.

Others Present: Neil "Al" Henry (Fire Chief), Randy Smith (Road Agent)

Meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm

R. Smith stated that he has begun looking at trucks to replace the aging 1989 Chevrolet Kodiak but has not yet been able to find a worthy vehicle; he will continue the search. On other matters, R. Smith stated the required wetland permits and culverts have been received. Once the weather is acceptable, the process of replacing the culverts will begin.

N. Henry gave a brief update on the status of the dry hydrant locate off Route 9.

The Board of Selectmen thanked N. Henry for a job well done this past Wednesday, September 30 in presenting the Nelson-Stoddard-Sullivan POD (pandemic) plan to town employees and volunteers.

Payroll and bills were approved.

The Selectmen signed a new 5-year assessing contract with Avitar Associates of New England, Inc. The contract will continue the current assessing cycle by conducting data verification of 20% of improved properties each year. A full update will be conducted in the fifth year (2014) as required by the NH Department of Revenue Administration.
