Approved Meeting Minutes Draft
November 19, 2012 – 7:30 PM

Sullivan Town Hall

Board members present: Mark Paquette, Gary Patnode

Department heads present: Karl Wheeler

Also present: Karen Luebkeman, AA

A. CALL TO ORDER: Mark Paquette called the meeting to order at 7:30PM

Aaron Collette delivered an estimate to do lighting work at the Town Hall. The estimate included timers and motion detection for existing exterior lights as well as the installation of a large exterior light sufficient to light the parking lot. The cost of the work is $1,156.45 which represents purchase of materials plus labor.

Motion: Gary Patnode made a motion to accept the bid.

Second: Mark Paquette second the motion.

There was additional discussion regarding putting Mr. Collette through the Police Officers Training Program in Concord so that he would be available as an additional member of the police force if needed.

John McNichols came in to pay for his temporary building permit and to discuss the conditions of the permit with the Selectmen.

C. Department Heads:

Police Chief Wheeler reported a busy week. One resident alerted him to the fact that someone was cutting wood on her property without permission. A deer was shot after hours and reported to the Fish and Game Commission. Raw sewerage was dumped on the side of the road and found by the Highway Department. A four-wheeler was recovered from the woods.

The Selectmen also reminded Chief Wheeler that they would like to see Deputy Jackson noting whether his hours are for patrolling or responding to calls.

D. Selectmen’s Business:

General business including the approving of payroll and vendor payments, review of invoices and PO’s were addressed.

The AA informed the Selectmen that Jeff Tenley with NRCS was hoping to meet with them next week to go over the Ferry Brook cleanup project.

Meeting was adjourned at 9:15PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

Karen Luebkeman, AA
